I hope this letter finds you all well! I sent out an email on July 31, 2007 that recapped the July meeting that we held on Saturday, July 28th at The Great American Hamburger Stand. If you would like a copy of the minutes, please let me know. We had around 15 in appearance. Darenda Marvin gave us a detailed report about our local recruiting effort and in our first year we were able to steer 4 students to the University including to National Merit Scholars. Thank you Darenda! We also had two new members join since the last meeting Tom Thornburgh and Dr. Clifton Lewis. WELCOME!! FSU - BAMA TICKETS We have been able to distribute all of football tickets that were allotted to our club. As of this letter, I have confirmation that the tickets will be coming soon. For those that have purchased the tickets, I will let you know when we have them. For those still wanting tickets, I will let you know if more come available. MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY I put together a membership directory for all the members that have paid their dues. All dues paying members should have received their copy via email. VIEWING PARTIESIt looks like we will be holding four get togethers for football games this season. Arkansas Game - 6:45pm - September 15th Joey D’s – Chicago Style Eatery and Pizzeria 4304 14th Street W, Bradenton, FL 34205 941-753-8900 They have been kind enough to provide us with a side room and a big screen TV. They have excellent pizza and a fun atmosphere. I was thinking some time during the week of the 3rd of December. I will let you all know when we have a more definite plan.
